Peter A. Horty

Peter A. Horty is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Commonwealth and former President and Chief Executive Officer. Peter brings to Commonwealth more than forty-five years of experience in the areas of accounting, business, estate and tax planning. A frequent lecturer, Peter has spoken often on the topics of Delaware dynasty trusts, Delaware asset protection trusts, estate planning and succession planning.

Prior to joining Commonwealth, Peter was a founding partner of a large Delaware accounting firm whose primary focus was providing consulting services to closely held businesses. In addition, he served as an associate professor of accounting for a local college and taught accounting at the University of Delaware.
